Apple’s iOS 16 now supports Nintendo Switch controllers after its unveiling at WWDC 2022.

The Nintendo Switch will be able to support Nintendo Switch Pro and Joy-Con controllers, according to an image released by tech writer SteveMoser on June 6th through Twitter. The image shows the framework for iOS 16, which appears to have the left and right Joy-Con controllers coded into it.

Another photo was also released by Riley Testut showing the Switch Pro controller connecting through Bluetooth with customizable controls. However, the controller compatibility was confirmed by Nat Brown, an engineering manager at Apple.

Though this is not the first controller backed by iOS, in 2021, Apple added support for the PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X controllers
