Amazon Prime Day 2022: The yearly Amazon Prime sale is almost here, and we’ve got everything you need to know so you can find all the discounted tech you want.
Prime Day is one of the biggest online sales of the year, although it can easily pass you by if you’re not suitably prepared for the event. The site offers up numerous discounts and deals on its own-branded tech as well as other major brands, with many of the reductions being even more impressive than the infamous Black Friday sale.
As you may have guessed by the name, Prime Day is an exclusive event that can only be accessed by Amazon Prime members, meaning that anyone who isn’t a member won’t be treated to any of these deals. Early Prime Day deals
Even though the real sale hasn’t started just yet, Amazon has already started slashing prices on some of its best products to entice any early shoppers.
One of the best deals we’ve found is this bundled Ring Video Doorbell and Echo Show 5, which are on sale for just £59.99 compared to the original retail price of £164.98, making it the ideal purchase for anyone hoping to beef up their home security.
The Fire TV Cube has also seen a massive price slash, going from £109.99 to just £54.99.
And anyone looking to get a few early Christmas presents sorted for their little ones needs to look no further, as the Amazon Fire 7 Kids Pro tablet can be found for only £39.99, compared to the original £99.99 price tag.
The 4th-Generation Echo Dot is also on sale for just £29.99 from £49.99, making it the ideal time to make your home that bit smarter.
And another fantastic bundle deal, the Blink Outdoor HD security camera can be bought with the 2nd-Generation Echo Show 5 for just £54.99, making it a steal when you consider the £164.98 price tag.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
We now know that the Prime Day sale is taking place on July 12th and July 13th, giving fans two days to snatch up all they can.
Usually, the event starts on a Monday, but this year it seems to have been pushed back to start on Tuesday and finish on Wednesday.
And if you haven’t already noticed, it means that Amazon is in keeping with the trend of making Prime Day and two-day event, giving you a whole 48 hours to find your perfect deal.

What Prime Day deals happened last year?
Last year was a great year for discounts, with some excellent tech deals stealing the show. One of our personal favourites was three whole months of Audible for just 99p, which is a steal when you consider all the top-tier audiobooks on offer, not the mention that it otherwise costs £7.99 for just one month’s access.
There were also a few deals that year that we’ve seen crop up again, like the Amazon Fire TV Cube, which is an ideal purchase if you’re looking to get into streaming. Other Amazon tech also saw a price drop, with the Echo Dot 3rd-Generation coming with six months of Amazon Music Unlimited for only £19.99.
What Prime Day deals do we expect?
As we’ve already stated, Amazon’s own products are usually the first to see a discount, so we’re hoping to see some sort of price drop afforded to the stylish and helpful Echo Show 15. It’s a wall-mountable smart display that came out just after last year’s Prime Day, and we’re hoping this is the year that it makes its debut at the company’s annual sale.
We also expect to see many sales coming to the various Amazon security products, such as the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 and the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, making it the perfect time to upgrade your home security before the dark winter months kick back in.
